Almost 3 year old only eats a handful of foods

My 2 year 10 month old daughter is a very tricky eater. She weaned very well, but ever since I moved her onto solid foods instead of purées she refuses point blank to try anything new. I always make sure there is something I know she eats on her plate, and something I know she doesn’t. She eats pasta (no sauce), bread sometimes, plain rice and couscous. She refuses all meats, she’ll very rarely have some cheese to sprinkle on the pasta. She eats yoghurt, apple, banana, raisins, and thankfully likes broccoli and green beans but that’s it! She also tends to get constipated, (I’m assuming from all the carbs!), so I can’t give her bananas every day. This has been going on for over a year now. I encourage her to try, or even just sniff or touch the foods she won’t eat, but she will never try and only rarely sniff the food. I always present a good variety of food, as a family we eat a lot of fresh fruit and veg. She won’t even eat pudding other than yoghurt! She isn’t underweight and seems healthy, but I can’t help worrying how can she possibly be getting all of the nutrients she needs. DS was a difficult eater at the same age but not a patch on DD. We are very careful to keep mealtimes easy and stress free, not a battleground, and if we’re not able to eat as a family I always sit with both of them while they eat. I don’t bribe, but I do encourage her to eat. I’ll taste the food and over emphasize how yummy it is (wow! So good! Delicious!), my son does this too. Any suggestions from the wise mums out there?

I would say carry on as you are but try putting the food in front and leaving her for a little while. I know you say you keep it stress free but she will pick up on your willing her to eat I had this with my son. I also think a banana a day you should give. Paediatric movicol from the gp can help to keep her regular also a children’s chewy multivitamin a day aswell.
