Basically what the title says my almost 5 year old gets very intense when we play he can’t just go with the flow he has to structure and dictate what we do which really sucks the fun out of playing with him.

I’m also concerned about him trying to do the same at school as I worry the other children will get sick of it. He also does the same when playing with his 2.5 year old brother telling him what to say when they are doing role play type stuff together.

He’s very sociable always makes friends at parks and seems to have formed good relationships at both nursery and school so maybe this is just normal 4 years old behaviour?

He is quite intense with his relationships gets upset when the boy he’s been playing with at the park for 40 minutes goes home🤷🏼‍♀️

Don’t know if it’s normal but my son is 5 in January and is just the same. He’s an only child, is yours too?

Just realised you said he has a brother Blush

Thanks for responding😁 Son also 5 in January so maybe just his age or personality he’s very sensitive and loving gets upset if he tells little brother he loves him and he doesn’t say it back.. I think he gets it from my husband😂
