Hi there,

Our daughter rolled back to front twice yesterday. Just watched her in bed and she nearly went again!! Really worried as worried if she does it in the night and we don’t see!

Tips please?

She is super super strong but worry her neck muscles aren’t strong enough to lift her head in that position at the moment if she were to do it in her sleep.

Thanks so much. Xx

It's fine if she does it in her sleep. Just relax and let her sleep. My kid rolled on to his stomach at 5 months and from then on slept on his tummy

Just re read, she's 9.5 weeks and not months! I'm not sure on that one to be honest. Although I read once they could roll they should be able to roll back.

Yeah I heard that too, if they roll themselves it's fine, just don't put them on their side / front yourself. Maybe Lullaby Trust has some advice on this?

It may be worth using a moses basket so there isn't room to roll, just for a bit longer until you are certain she can roll back.

However they are only recommended until around 3-4 months, so you wont get much use out of it.

Hi! Wow you have an early roller! You could look into renting the Snoo bassinet. It calls itself the worlds safest cot because it allows you to clip the baby’s swaddle into the sides of the cot so that the baby can’t roll over.

Stupid question but where was she when she rolled? Dd rolled at 7 weeks and we had the same panic about sleep. But realised she only did it in bed.. her next to me cot leaned into the bed and was tipping her over! Had to buy a new cot.
