Nine Month Baby still spitting up 4-5 times a day, hours after eating.

My baby boy was premature (by about a month) and has always had a problem with spitting up regularly but I had assumed he would have grown out of it by now. Also, he often spits up hours after a feed. He can have breakfast at 8am and then spit up right after his nap at 11am.

Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to help stop it??? I have tried the baby gaviscon in his milk but it has made no difference. I don’t see how it could be an intolerance, as I have tried him on different formulas with the same effect and he still spits up non-dairy baby food.

He is at the age when all he wants to do is crawl around and explore but he makes such a mess (on carpets) that I can’t let him run free all day long as he likes.

Any suggestions?

@SJS28 no suggestions but my 9mo also does this, throws up randomly after food (both milk and solids). I think it's normal and it does not make me worry at all, as long as it's just a bit, and no other issues, he still feeds and is happy. Maybe sometimes they overeat, then move around, and it just makes the food go out.
