How old were your kids when you stopped checking on them at night before bed?

Ds1 is 12.6 and so still goes to bed before us (!)
We have noticed he is often still up when we come to bed, or just woke up to go to the loo, and I suspect there may be a bit of pre teenage exploration going on.
I don't want to embarrass him but I always like to check

I still check on mine, although with the older ones (teens) its more of a evening check in as I go to bed before them.
