I'm unsure what is happening with my 10 month old at the moment and was hoping for some advice/reassurance that this is normal.
So for the last 2 days my daughter has been an absolute nightmare. Lots of crying, screaming and I'm pretty sure she actually had a full on tantrum yesterday (throwing herself back, arching her back, screaming til
she was red in the face etc) But nothing appears to be wrong (hunger, wet nappy, pain etc) other than she is getting tired out very quickly. For example today she was awake to start the day from about 6:15am it's only 10:30am and she's already on her 2nd nap. She normally only has 2 naps a day: morning and lunchtime. Her first nap was only for 30 minutes but she woke happy and content. We had a little time playing where she was giggling and babbling quite happily but then she started getting tired: rubbing her eyes and getting cranky. I tried to hold off putting her down for another nap but she became inconsolable: she didn't want to play, didn't want to be held, didn't want to crawl.... she just kept throwing herself backwards and screaming. I put her in her cot and she quieted quickly and then went to sleep. I don't think she's ill as when's she's ill all she wants is cuddles, all the time. This isn't a constant bad mood/crankiness but very regular throughout the day and she does not want to be held in anyway when she starts up! Her cranky times have started to outweigh her happy times quite significantly. No drastic changes to her life, her appetite is just as good as it was and if anything her sleep at night has slightly improved. Any insights into what's going on??
