Toddler girl with suspected autism

Hi

My LG is 3 yo and is on the waiting list for autism investigations. It has taken a long tome and a lot of effort just to get her on the waiting list as I felt like everyone was dismissing my concerns.

I just want to know if anybody has a daughter on the autism spectrum, and what their signs were to make you first concerned?

Everywhere I look, it is predominantly about boys on the autism spectrum so I'm just wanting somebody to relate to really.

Everyday there is a battle with something and it's draining x

We're waiting assessment too. My DD is almost 3. I only noticed at around 2yo that she wasn't speaking as much as others and she flapped her hands when excited, as well that she was scared of strangers and interacting with them and she did point late too. I don't know if it was in my head but I felt her eye contact was bad then too but looking back, I don't think it was. She's come on a lot and is speaking more and interacts with us a lot. Although I still think she could be autistic but it's so hard to tell because she's so borderline. The things she does could be completely normal now.

Hi some people may think I mad but my son too doesn't interact as much as other kids with adults mostly. I but with other children he plays with them.

He has a good enough vocab and can communicate his needs and his interests but not as much as others.

He too also hand flaps when he gets excited.
