Hi all,
Wondering if anyone can give any scope on this?
My daughter is 5 months on the 28th of this month.
She was starting to coo etc but had just stopped and hasn't cooed for about 3 or 4 weeks now. She has done a few odd ones to add but nothing noticeable or significant. But from what I see and gather, babies this age generally shout out and coo and chat away?
My baby is silent, if she isn't crying or whinging on the cusp of crying.
She 2 days ago started making noise again, sort of like a gugrle in the back of her throat, kinda shhhhughhh like, as if we were to imitate a low rumbling noise I guess? But this has not happened again.
She can roll front to back (a recent milestone) and has done this 5 times, but generally just cries during tummy time instead.
I spoke to HV about this who appeared to be concerned and said to mention it to GP when I speak to them about her skin (which I couldn't do as when I spoke to GP he was difficult and condescending!) and to pediatrician after referral for skin.
For info, she has cmpa and bad eczema which dietician thinks is a reaction to something else (dust, pollen, etc?) and has requested a pediatrician referral for investigation. I guess this is Gonna take months though esp in current climate.
She is an itchy wee soul and spends a a lot of her time itching and uncomfortable.
I do the usual sit and chat, sing, read, play, immitate a lot.
Could her allergies be delaying her development? Or do some babies just stop making noise and are totally fine?
Or could being cooped up and not at baby play classes contribute?
She's my rainbow baby and I worry about alot, especially since cmpa took ages to diagnose due to GP dismissing us for weeks and still trying to figure out how to help her skin and itching.
Thank you for reading this anxious mothers long rambley post. I hope someone can reassure me?
Thank you x
