Well - I guess any hopes I had of having a child with "short" genes from me have gone out of the window........

DH has had to go and buy some 6-9 month babygro's from Tesco as DS3 (14 weeks) doesn't fit the 3-6 month ones anymore (I know we could cut the feet off but I want to pass all his clothes onto a friend as he outgrows them).......arghhh!

QoQ know how you feel, having a little girl nearly 3 still wearing many 12-18 month clothes imagine my when ds outgrows his 6-9month ones at around 7 month!!! and is now outgrowing 9-12 at 9 months!!!

know what you mean I have had to hurriedly wash all the 3-6 month clothes for my ds as he grew out of the newborn stuff by 8 weeks

I wasn't going to get him weighed/measured very often (3rd child and all that ) - but now I think I'm going to have to go again this month just out of sheer curiosity - DS2 is a good 10cm taller than DS1 was at the same age (has been about 10cm "ahead" since he was about 10 months old).......I hope DS3 isn't going to follow suit or I'll have to explain to everyone that the order isn't DS3, DS2, DS1 - they're the other way round .

It wouldn't be so bad if DS3 was anywhere near 6 months.....but he's not he's only 3 months !

wow, he's going to be lanky, I reckon. I sympathise, ds did this; outgrew things ALL the time for his first year or so; and I got used to having to buy a new pair of shoes every couple of months (gulp) as his feet had ALWAYS grown. He's now just turned five and in a size 13.

However once they're toddlers it does slow down you'll be pleased to hear You may find the same trouble I've had though, with a tall child, they are always too skinny for trousers - they are a nightmare.

really???????????? I guess DS1 and DS2 forgot to to read the manual on that part of it all then .

DS1 is a problem he's tall and skinny, but DS2 is tall and chunky (if he sticks at the rugby he'll be one of those that no-one dares to tackle because he's so solid ) so trousers do generally tend to fit ok.

Know Ds hasn't inherited my short genes. I am 5'2 my little sis is only 4'10 but ds is now taller than me and he is only 11.
