Any tips to stop little one pooing in the bath?

My little one 17mths has a habit of pooing in the bath.

Sorry it posted too early.... Its not every bath but pretty frequently and there is often no tell, no straining or fidgeting so it's hard to know when she's going to do it.

We did buy a potty and she sits on before and after every bath, but not sure she's really aware of what to do as she's still quite little.

Any ideas?

My d is 3 now, but when she was 2yo she used to poop in the bath because she has my terribly slow metabolism and finds it hard to poop. She takes laxido now only once ever second day. The bath pooping stopped when she started it so it might just be because the warm water encourages the muscles to relax and poop to happen, no straining like you said. Apart from medication you could stick to the 'no, bad bath poop'. Its very possible he'll just grow out of it too since you said he was quite young yet.
