Any help/advice my DD 4 years old has been hitting. Biting licking other children and nursery staff at nursery. She does not do this at home although does demand a lot of attention and will do things like chase the dog to get attention if I am doing something else. I have a behaviour chart, punish via time outs and taking toys. We are very active and get out everyday dry day. I do lots of active activities and games at home if we can’t get out and apart from the normal occasional tantrum she is good at home. I am mortified that she is doing this at school and worry what will happen when she starts school. I dread picking her up from school the nursery say she can be lovely and kind and helpful and is very clever. I have consented for senco to assess her but am unsure of what this actually means as the nursery don’t think she has autism or learning disability. She is an only child but plays well with her friends when with me obviously they have their moments but nothing out of the ordinary. She has reached all of the development stages and has a great vocabulary so is able to express herself well at my wits end. 😭
