Could my 6 week old baby be teething..?

My 6 week old DD seems to be teething, but it feels far too early. Her cheeks are flushed, but more so the right one (no temp), she's dribbling and she's chewing her hands a lot (not hungry). I can also see two little white buds on her bottom gum. Has anybody else had any experience of teething so early? Or is this possibly something else? I'm a first time mum so totally clueless! (Seeing HV tomorrow)

Hi @decbaby19
I'm a dentist and it's very rare but teething can happen from birth (some babies have been born with a few teeth). I can't confirm without seeing, but if HV is unsure take baby to a dentist and they can confirm if it's early teething.

My boy was teething at 6 weeks and teeth came through just after 2.5 months. Poor me!!

Thanks both! She is definitely teething, HV said we can use Ashton & Parsons crystals/powder but it says suitable from 3 months. What did you use for relief?
