Hi, today we went to the gp for dd's behaviour, she does some strange thing with her mouth and hands like hand flapping, open mouth and hold breath for a few seconds, she does it since she was 14 months old (we thought she will outgrow it) but the frequency has increased and it went from dd's cute thingy to awkward, weird and scary thing that she does between 15 to 30 times a day. I recorded her for the last few days as proof, after seeing it the gp asked us a couple of cuestions and said "I have no idea what is it and I wil refer you to one of the great professionals at the children's hospital, I will make a referral to the neurologist but it will take a couple of months".
She also said to keep recording dd as proof for the neurologist appointment.

Anyone has gone throw a similar situation or have a child who does the same thing as dd?

Tia
