2 year old not settling in preschool and lashing out

Hello everyone. I'm desperately looking for advice or tips on a 2 yr 10month old boy who is not settling into preschool. He goes 2 days a week and has done so since he was 7 months. Separation anxiety really kicked in at 11 months and has never left him really. He does Thursday and Friday full days and sometimes I feel if he was in more days it would be easier for him to settle but the crèche are at max capacity. Since he has moved to toddlers where it is more structured, sit down activities, more routine he just seems to hate it. Hysterically crying when I leave. Apparently he stops after 5 or 10 minutes but is in awful bad form for most of the day lashing out, throwing tantrums. This has only really happened in the toddler room. I'm wondering does anyone have any suggestions that might ease his anxiety in the morning or help him not be so upset?

I think he can get frustrated too as he's still not fully talking. He had a speech and language assessment and they said everything's fine. It will come in time. But maybe that's adding to it.

Thanks in advance xxx
