Takes 20 minutes to get toddler in car seat!

Help! How do I get my toddler to go in car seat quickly?! It typically takes 20 minutes but can take a lot longer. I think I'm firm, make it clear I'm serious. Settles down quickly once in but fights me so much when I try to do straps up. I could force them in but scared of hurting them. Ive tried giving a little snack as we get in, this occasionally works. Doesn't understand consequences or rewards yet (so can't use bribery lol). Usually I just try to stay calm, wait but sometimes there's a reason I need to be quick. Any ideas please?! I'm a bit desperate.

Honestly, I'd go with physical force. How could you hurt them doing that, really? I think fussing around with snacks, pleading etc. just makes it worse. If you do it quickly and determined, they see you mean business, that it's not a way to get extra attention or snacks and you have the highest chances of him giving up his fight, because he understands there is no point.
