2.9 mo toddler still taste random non-food

Hi all

I have a slight concern about my toddler who is 2 years and 9 months old who still likes to put random non-food item in her month or even eats it. Item can include crayons, playdohs, body lotion, dry pasta, paper, compost... not so much toys.

I looked up the symptoms of pica but i genuinely don't think she has that as she eats a very healthy and balanced diet. She's a big fan of salad and veg as well as other proteins and fats. She eats most things and being at 91-94 percentile, she's a very happy thriving child physically, socially and emotionally.

Is it normal for a healthy child who likes to taste random things being almost 3yo? The nursery she goes to doesn't seem to be too concerned but did mention it to me that she's a sensory seeker.

Something i've noticed as well:

  • She's quite sensitive with loud noise indoor (eps with my ninja blender or when i use the cleaver in kitchen...)
  • loves messy play and getting herself dirty with all sorts of messy materials (body lotion, bath gel, flour...)

What i want to know is: Is there anything I can do to help her?
