Sorry didn't know where to post this to, but pretty much that
He comes over with his partner once a week to see her and she just cries. She'll look at his from a distance for a little bit and then cry, but if he comes near her or she sits with him she'll instantly cry
He's been coming over since she was born and she's now 4 months old so it's not like he's a total stranger to her, and there are people she sees a lot less that she doesn't cry at
I just don't know what's causing it or how to help her, although my dad would never say anything I think it upsets him. I thought we had a breakthrough at one point as she sat on his knee and actually fell asleep on him (she never falls asleep on anyone other than me usually!) but then the next time she saw him it was back to crying hysterically
Has anyone had anything similar? Did it get better or did you find out what the issue was?
I did wonder if it's to do with the timing as she has a really good bedtime routine and they always turn up right before it/halfway through which I think throws her off - I've tried dropping hints about not coming of an evening but they haven't been taken, maybe I will need to be a bit more blunt and limit it to daytime or weekends. But then saying that she's ok with his partner, I wouldn't say she's happy but she tolerates her holding her etc. Don't know if she just doesn't like men other than her daddy
