Hellooo!

I always try to get him to say words but he doesn't even say mumma or dadda..

My 3 and a half yr old daughter has autism and doesn't communicate so is that not helping him? Im just so scared that he also has autism, can't stop worrying. Even my daughter used to say words at his age, but she now says a lot of rubbish referring to peppa pig or ben and holly, she says mum, dad, juice, cake, one words but if you said to her " are you ok " " do you want to go out " what do you want for dinner " any questions she wont be able to answer. She cant express herself or tell you how shes feeling, whats wrong, what shes done at nursery, nothing.. its so sad.

When did everyone's children start speaking?
Has anyone got an Autistic child that sounds like mine? Xx

try posting this in the special needs section OP, also I found books or video clips on websites on ABA and PRT really helpful.

No words are 17M is not concerning and is not indicative of ASD. As your older child has autism, and while that increases the probability of ASD in siblings, you will probably know that deficits in joint attention (pointing to share, social referencing, 3-point-gaze, etc) and lack of imaginative play are much more indicative of ASD than lack of words at 17M.
