Putting baby in his own room

Hi all.
Young first time mammy here, my son is now 5.5 months old and I'm transitioning him from his next2me in our room to his big cot in his own room

Last night was his 1st night, he went to sleep fine and stayed asleep until he woke for his feed as normal. It was my own anxiety that ruined it as I brought him back to my room when after he'd had his bottle as I couldn't sleep for worrying😫.

I have a camera monitor so can always be watching and listening to him I just cannot get past my own anxieties. Anyone got any advice?

Baby is not a fussy baby, he's never slept in our bed, will sleep anywhere. I know he will sleep fine in his own room I just can't let him go. Please someone tell me I'm not being dramatic! 😂😫

No Adobe I'm afraid. My daughter's 10 months and I still sneak to to check everything's okey. Can you put the cot in your room for a bit?

My son stayed in my room until he was 1.5 - and even now he’s 2 and I still sneak in and put my hand on his chest to check he’s breathing.

My dd went into her room at 3 months.

If he is happy in his room, just keep the camera on and volume up so you can hear him.

You have to leave him in his room, donXt take him into your bed if you don't need to.

Enjoy the peace and quiet in your room, no-one ever told me how noisy babies are when they are asleep!
