Bedwetting

Hi,
My DS is now 12 years old and is still regularly wetting the bed (approx 2 nights per week). I've been trying to be really patient with it and have tried DryNites (which are really good), bedsheets and even tried nothing at all but it just dosn't seem to be getting any easier. Does anyone have any suggestions about what I can do to make it easier for him?

sp, ask your doctor. I asked for the twins and they said their local rule was 6 not 4 or 5 as by 6 those with problems at 4 and 5 have virtually all got over it which is a good system. So actually we bought alarmed panels privately for them both but they didn't work at that age and then with their first school trip away from home sleeping with friends looming somehow they both managed it in time despite having 100% record every night of their lives for bed wetting for 7 years, not just occasional lapses but every single night.

She is 6 in october and showing no signs of stopping yet. I don't understand how she can have 90% good nights then a sccident about once a week..

ah stitch

i try and avoid rows but will stand up for myself lol

also recent bedwetting when they ahve been fine otherwise, could be a sign of a urine infection, so i would get that checked out, unless you know of any underlying emotional issues that might have caused it

sgk, it's interesting you say about your kids with cp being dry , ds2 was dry at night fairly early as well

That's better than when I had two at 6 wetting the bed 7 nights a week. I think you just need to wait and it will gradually get better.
