Is it normal for my daughter to shout for everything.

Think I'm putting this in the right place.

Dd is 17 months old. Everything she wants, she shouts for. There's nothing before that (like hand gestures).

She likes it when I do 'this little piggy' on her toes. When she wants me to do it, she'll push her foot practically in my face and shouts. There's hundreds of other examples. She's very impatient and shouts a lot.

She just seems so frustrated all the time. I'm a first time mum with little to no experience with children. Am I doing something wrong? Sad

No this is normal. My son is also 17 months and also shouts for almost everything. Every time he shouts I gently tell him. "You say mama help me please." "Can you please say that." And he says "please." I do this every time he shouts. Some days (very rarely) he'll say "mama please." And point to whatever he wants. But it's usually a loud shout. Just be patient OP.

does she point to request what she wants if she cannot reach it? (while shouting)

Thank you both for your replies.

@AladdinMum yes, she does point at the same time. Or she'll do a grabbing gesture with her hand
