My 11 week old just wants to sleep.

Hi ladies my 11 week old son just wants to sleep all the time. He’ll wake for feeds between 3 1/2 hours -5 and has 5 ounces. He’s the same day and night just wants to sleep. When he is awake he seems unsettled and exhausted, his eyes are heavy and he cries continuously. Sometimes he will be calm for around half hour before he decides he is fed up again. Am I letting him sleep too much? What do I do?!

Can you talk to your health visitor or GP?
And keep a record oh how long he is awake for?

He's a newborn. That's what they do. Eat, poop, sleep. My son slept all day until he was a little older. Babies at that age need lots of sleep.

New babies vary. Mine would not sleep and my friend's would not eat.

But if worried, speak to a professional just to be sure. A record of how much baby sleeps would help.
