15 month old won’t walk after 1 yr immunisation

I’m starting to get quite concerned about my 15 month old son ... he had his 1 yr jabs on Monday ... he hasn’t walked since and it’s now Thursday! He’s absolutely fine and happy in himself and doesn’t seem to be in any pain anymore but he just won’t stand or walk. He’s reverted back to crawling even though he’s been confidently walking for the past 4 months. We tried to get him walking by holding his hands but his left leg seems a bit limp and he just won’t put his foot on the floor! Went to see docs yesterday and he said he should be fine by the weekend and didn’t seem concerned but I’m not convinced. Has anyone else experienced this? I’m getting worried now! Sad

Hi there's absolutely nothing to worry about. Allow your child to do what his body is asking him to do. Crawling is great for him and his body.

Has he had one in each thigh?
It might just be that it's sore for him and walking might hurt because the muscle where he's been injected might ache. I'd give it this weekend and if he hasn't walked go back to the docs.
My LO wasn't walking when he had his 1 year jabs BUT he did drag one of his legs slightly when crawling for about a week and we put it down to his leg just feeling heavy and hurting from his jabs.
Like you know how your arm can feel heavy after certain jabs? It might be the same for him x

Have you tried him with a dose of calpol? Did he get a high temperature after the immunisation?

Hello, my 16 month old is behaving the same way after his 1 year jabs and I'm worried. He loves walking but suddenly refuses to walk and doesn't put left foot on the floor. Thigh area where jab was given is a little sore and tender when touched. Did your son recover from this?
