6yo DD still poos in pull up at night

We were referred to a consultant when DD was 5 because she wasn't reliably dry day or night. Consultant said pooing at night was more of a problem but didn't offer much to help - just said sit her on the toilet for 20 minutes before bed and "get your rewards and punishments right" and that will sort it. DD will sometimes poo on the toilet before bed but it doesn't seem to make any difference to whether she poos in her pull up. I don't think she's constipated as if she needs to poo during the day she goes quite happily and doesn't complain of pain. Incidentally she is on medication for wetting and now nearly always dry in the day, but not at night.

The immediate problem is that we've said she can't go on sleepover with Rainbows in two weeks time unless she has a week of poo-free pull ups. DD really wants to go and I'd like her to be able to, but we can't expect her leader to deal with her poo. (Leader has said she's OK to deal with a wet pull up.) We thought this would be enough incentive but it doesn't seem to be working. Help!

I should add, various doctors have felt her tummy at different times and said definitely not constipated, plus she had a scan last year.

I'm not sure there's anything you can do, other than the insentive you've given. Pushing the issue is going to cause a power struggle.

Are you having her help with the clean up?

She refuses to help with cleaning herself up. Maybe I should try harder to enforce it, but we often end up in a rush on school mornings as it is.
