My 2 yr old won’t wear underwear?

My DD (28 Months) potty trained easily with no problems. Fast forward a few weeks and she’s suddenly refusing to wear underwear. Says they’re too tight but you can see they’re baggy.
Anyone else had this? Found a way around it? We’ve been resorting to just putting her leggings on last couple of days but I don’t want this to become the norm.... Confused

Have you tried boys underwear? I think that they look much more comfy and are made from thicker material than girls underwear.

I shall probably get flamed for this but, without intending any disrespect to anybody else's parenting style, I feel bound to ask when you accept "won't" and when you do not. I have always felt that the first acceptance of it from a very young child with little or no reasoning capacity was the wrong place to begin my resignation of my role as a parent. Is "won't!!" acceptable on car seats, holding hands when crossing roads, being quiet or at least quieter when asked for good reason in public, etc.? Do we not owe it to our children to insist on certain things - and I have to say I have always included underwear in those things. Not putting on underwear has always meant putting off fun in our house - and, after the initial squalls, it has worked.
