Nearly 9 months- what has happened to my happy easy going baby?

I am pretty sure the answer is a combination of separation anxiety and crawling but oh my!

My little man has gone from being happy pretty much all day and settling himself to sleep most nights and naps to just bring so grumpy... He cries when we even go in the bedroom, hates being put down but also desperately wants to be crawling and exploring all the time.

This is just a phase right? But how long will the phase last?

Yes it is a phase but sorry, I can’t for the life of me remember how long it lasts.

Mine was a little sh*t at this point. Biting me, waking up super early, grumpy etc. I was told about an 8-10 month sleep regression, and that developmentally there is a lot going on. After a few weeks he's back to his old self again. I think he may have been called a dickhead a few times.

Have you ever used the Wonder Week app? It tells you about the "leaps" (major development phases) they go through. It's a free app but if you put in your LO's due date it works out when they will happen.
Around that age my LO was really affected by these and was noticeably different for at least a week. But at least it gives you some idea of when it might end!
Also the sleep regressions start around then too.
I just tried to get out and about lots, just walks etc seemed to stop my LO from grumbling. They start to need lots of stimulation around this stage.

Hope your LO cheers up, just remember your smiler is in there somewhere!
