3 month old bf baby how often feeding?

Hi All,
My 3 month old is exclusively breastfed and feeds roughly every 2hrs in the day. She then sleeps about 10hours straight at night so I'm not complaining at all!
I've just had 3 women have a go at me for how often she feeds saying i should be stretching her to at least 3 if not 4 hours by now.
I'm fine with it, my other daughter did the same when she was little and it only really started to stretch when she was about 6 months.
Am I feeding her too much/often (can you even do that with a breastfed baby?!). Is there anything wrong with feeding that often? Is it really that unusual?
Just looking for reassurance really that it's normal as feel like a freak right now with how they reacted!
Thanks

Smile, nod, then carry on exactly as you are. You sound like you’ve got a rountine that suits you both which is something to be treasured Smile

They’re wrong, you are not. It’s so important to breastfeed baby whenever she wants. Feeding on demand is exactly how it should be - every baby is different and you shouldn’t be “stretching” baby to a fixed time frame at all. Babies go to the breast for a variety of reasons and the fact you’re responding to your baby’s needs by offering her the breast whenever she asks for it, shows that you’re doing a great job. Why you would “stretch” a baby to 3 or 4 hours when they clearly want it sooner is beyond me. You’re doing an amazing job, keep it up!

By the way, my baby is 2 months and feeds anywhere between every half an hour to 2 hours. He goes on sometimes to settle to sleep, to comfort, to have a quick drink and other times to have a full meal. He also sleeps much longer stretches at night. You’re not alone by any stretch.

If you have Instagram, there’s a wonderful account called littlepeachlondon who is a breastfeeding guru and has all the answers!

I bet the three women don’t go 4 hours between eating and drinking, especially in this warm weather.
