You tell people your child is severely autistic

And people assume they are in a wheelchair.

Has this happened to anyone else?!

Someone asked me this a few weeks ago and I was pretty shocked at the ignorance.

Yeah I think until your family is personally affected by disability you never realise how ignorant some people are.

My ds is lactose intolerant but gets offered butter and cheese. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Jaime I was asked at a restaurant recently if my allergy to milk included milk powder Hmm
