My 20 month old don't go to bed at bed time?!

My 20 month old use to go to bed on que at 7 every night and sleep through till 6 but, since I've my new baby (1month old) he refuses to go to bed at bedtime his stayed up as late as 11 some nights and nothing seem to work!!
He seems to just get really worked up every time I try and put him to bed and I really don't know what to do, starting to feel like a bad parent for put him to bed!

You’re not being a bad parent by putting him to bed, at this age they do need to sleep

Do you have someone who can have the baby while you read DS a nice story in bed?

Yeah my husband will sit with the baby and I've tried reading him stories, singing to him, I've even tried letting him watch a film (not a fan of kids going to bed with TV on) and he calms down but, won't go to sleep and if I do it and then leave the room he'll just start cry all over again!!!
Also not a fan of letting him cry it out, I tried it one night and felt awful!!
I guess it's just one of them things he'll grow out of.
