Torticollis surgery in a 4 year old to correct and limit further damage

My son had torticollis as a baby.
He is left with a shorter neck and that side of his face is slowly being pulled down and drooping.
Has anyone had surgery to correct this.
Wanted to hear the pros and the cons...

My son osteopath is not for this, he says it will leave scaring. I don't want my son to have a droopy face nor a shorter side on the neck but then I also don't want the scaring of the muscles.

My son had torticollis but didn't need surgery. Did you get physiotherapy?

Yes I did it up until he was 8months old daily and after that he wouldn't let me. It did get much better and now he has full movement but he still has the shorting of the neck.
