14 week old SCREAMING all of a sudden daily

For the past week, my 14 week old daughter all of a sudden starts screaming out of the blue! It’s a horrible high pitched scream (more than a cry) and she can’t be soothed by anything, we’ve tried: baby sling/wrap, pram, skin to skin, the boob, fresh air etc. Also tried calgel and infacol but had no effect. She’s not hungry, doesn’t need a nappy change and we burp her throughout the episode incase it’s trapped wind. I’ve had her cry badly before when she’s in the car and gets hungry but I can’t stop for a few minutes, but this is a completely different cry. Like I said; it’s like a scream.

She normally is asleep when it starts but has once just been feeding. It’s normally in the evening but not always.
Honestly sounds like someone’s put her in boiling water it’s such a shrill horrible scream!!
Other than that she is a happy, healthy baby. I’m going to a health clinic tomorrow to discuss. Just wondering if anyone’s experience similar?

Poor baby :( xxx

Just wanted to add...we feel like it sounds as if she’s in pain but have stripped her down to her nappy and checked her over, checked her temp and keep winding her just incase. Also she’s breastfed not sure if that makes any difference. And I’ve l cut out all caffeine, dairy, spicy food, garlic, onions.

Teething?

Colic.

My DC1 used to scream for 3 hours every single evening. It went on for what seemed like forever at the time.

Google evening colic. Or go here colic

I think that colic is over-diagnosed

For what it's worth my 13 week old started this at the weekend (it has since stopped...for now)

It was get really upon waking but quite random and he was screaming. His face was red, his face and hands were clammy and he was looking at me the entire time. Took ages to soothe him- and this is a baby who rarely cried before

For what it's worth I think he was scared or wired from visitors and activities we had been doing, during what I am going to assume was a leap. I suspect he was overstimulated but it's just a guess.

I hope your LO settles soon....remember no phase seems to last forever!!
