This is my 2nd child but she's completely different to my first. She is currently 5 weeks old and for the past 3 days has only taken 1-2oz (30-60ml) per feed and that's been hard to do. He doesnt feed happily and fussed the whole time. Im us using infacol currently to help with my colic. She only wakes up via crying and when awake isn't content for any more than 5mins before she starts grunting and crying. Meaning she is sleeping most of the time as she is so happy when awake. Should I be worried and has anyone else experienced this that can offer some advice?

Update: apologies for poor quality of the writing as I didn't read it before posting. *it is meant to say 'for her colic' and' she is so unhappy when awake.'

I've just posted a similar thread before reading yours, I'll follow yours too as I need same advice Sad My 4 week old boy has been struggling a lot with colic these last 2 weeks, legs coming up in pain and crying constantly unless he's in my arms. I've noticed he's gone from drinking 4oz to 3oz as his wind just will not come up. I've bought colief and been using since yesterday morning so I'm praying this helps, ordered new anti colic bottles too.

Unsure whether comfort milk would help? Xx

After speaking to the HV who advised to see the Dr as it sounded like reflux. After seeing the Dr (who also believes it's reflux, we just put it down to colic) we are switching to a comfort milk and she has a prescription to help with the reflux as she is in pain during and after feeds. Fingers crossed this will help.

I'm glad you have managed to see the Dr and got an answer! Hope your little one is happier soon, my 4 week old seems to be vomiting a little after each feed and has had hiccups since the day he was born. I'm wondering if it's reflux too.

I will speak with my hv, good luck with everything hope it all improves asap xx

My little one has hiccups regularly, arches her back and stiffens her legs and arms. Often it sounds like she's been sick but she hasn't but is also a little sick too at othrt times. She also suddenly cries out in pain for seemingly no reason. I thought this was colic but apparently the symptoms do differ. I would say check with the Dr as if your babies symptoms are the same, they may opt for the medicine too. I'm hoping it will help mine.

Good luck with your little one and hope they improve soon also x
