Toddler wakes up screaming hysterically in night

Just looking for advice my 17month old goes to bed fine and naps well don’t get me wrong she can scream at times she’s just very nosy! It gets to anywhere from 4am to 630am but she wakes up screaming her head off it used to be the other way round couldn’t put her down awake in her cot now we’ve mastered that she wakes up hysterically any advice we’re thinking of taking her cot sides down and maybe hoping it might make a difference tia

Is she awake when she is screaming? My 2.5 year old has night terrors and she's not really awake and doesn't respond to us so we just have to sit it out and wait for it to pass. Otherwise, could it be nightmares? Or could she be hungry / thirsty? Could she come in bed for a cuddle with you?

No she’s fully awake xx standing up and takes 5:10 to calm her down I’ve taken her mobile down so maybe it’s that x
