Baby grizzly all the time when learning new skill???

Hello All, my LG is 11.5 months. During the Christmas period I've noticed she's started learning new skills , she now puts balls in the correct holes on her new toys and has started throwing balls back to you when you throw them to her. She doesn't yet crawl or anything but has started to move a lot more and is trying to crawl. Over the last couple of weeks she has turned from the normal happy baby she is to being a grump! She moans if you put her down and just generally groans and cry's most of the day, she also doesn't sleep as well as she did. Can this be linked to her development and learning new skills? I'm hoping so and it's not that she's changed :( thanks xx

Hi, her behaviour is definitely because of learning new skills. All babies go through developmental leaps that, for them, turn their little worlds upside down!. Try reading the wonder weeks or download the app and it will give you information in when your child will be going through these stages and what you can expect. It's so interesting and really helpful!

Yes I agree with nims, that sounds very normal. Both of mine were/are like this and my 3yo still does it Smile I don't know what age it stops (assuming early 20s?).
And YY to The Wonder Weeks book/app. An interesting read and certainly helped me to feel a bit more accepting of my DC's prolonged grumpathons.
