My daughter for the last fortnight has been sleeping for 14 hours nearly every second night and asking to go to bed shortly after 5pm. I have been trying to keep her awake until 6pm and i usually waken her around 7.45am to leave her to school.

I am starting to think is there something wrong with her or if she is going through a development stage.

She is a great eater and is in good form. wWYD?

Thanks!

If she’s not napping in the day and is going to school I’d say she needs it.

At this age my DD was still having a 2 hour nap every day as well as 12 hours at night. So it seems normal to me! I expect she’s going through a growth spurt or a developmental leap and needs extra sleep.

Don't knock it, enjoy it, Smile it's probably just a growth spurt, or over tired with excitement leading to Christmas.
My ds is a 5-6am riser, I had to wake him at 8, the other morning, first time since I've had him I've sat and had a cuppa in peace in the morning xx

Yeh I think it could be with just the lead up to Christmas along with developmental phase.

I hope she doesn't wake up too early tomorrow!
