The was no green bit of course. And my teenage step daughter wasn't even eating the homemade Lasagne placed in the middle of the table (or the broccoli obvs). But she couldn't stop going on about how 'manky' it looked as she nibbled on her french fries and ketchup.
My question.... How do I respond without showing its irritating me?
In the end I told her she was manky and pretended to pelt her with my spatula we did laugh but mine was certainly staged laugher. I need to stop behaving this way but I just don't know what to say? I need to get better at diverting conversations as I adore cooking and am expecting in May, worst case scenario is the baby pick's up on their fussy eating! HELP!!
