Diet advice to help breastfed baby with silent reflux

Hi there.

I currently have a very unsettled 10 week old son with silent reflux.

We have been prescribed infant gaviscon and have been using for over 4 weeks with not much effect, and in fact the last few days have been even worse.

I have read a lot about breastfeeding mothers changing their diet to eliminate acidic foods. I think this might be the reason why some days are worse than others so I'd like to give it a try.

Has anyone got any experience of this? I would love to know what foods you ate and which ones you avoided. Ideas for meals would also be helpful.

I am looking to cut down on dairy but not completely eliminate it as I'd be concerned about the lack of calcium.

Don't have any experience but remember the midwife saying fizzy drinks, citrus fruits (including orange juice) , tomatoes, spice, onion and garlic.

I don't think dairy should be an issue unless they are questioning a CMP allergy or lactose intolerance? but I could be wrong there.

Also, again not from personal experience but from what I've heard from others, infant gaviscon seems to help very few. I believe most people push for the next one up...ranitidine I think.
