How old were your little ones when they went into big bed?

My dd is 22 months old and I'm thinking about trying her in her big bed but not sure whether to leave it a bit longer. She'll need to share a room with her older sister amd i don't know how they will be both together and I dont want her to end up acting out all night. At the minute she sleeps in her cot still in my room and they both sleep through the night (her sister is 4) what was the age of your little ones when they went into a big bed and if they shared a room with an older sibling did they still sleep ok?

Depends:
Dd1 went at about 2yo when the bottom fell out of her very old cot.
Dd2 was about 22 months when she started sleeping through.
Ds only slept in a cot for about a month (6-7months) when he learnt to climb out. He then slept on a mattress on the floor in our room as we were trying to move and it was easier to tidy away for viewings than a toddler bed. When we moved he was 18 months and he then went into the big bed.

Our son was 22 months. He had suddenly started to go through a stage of waking in the night, crying hysterically and not wanting to be in his cot. He had preciously always been a good sleeper. We decided that as no one was getting any sleep we might as well try it! (I was also 7 months pregnant so thought might as well try before new arrival!) and it was the best desicion! After a disastrous first night where he ran around his room until he fell asleep against the door! 😂 It's been brilliant and he loves it. Occasionally he will get up out of bed to go get something and take it back to bed with him but he's mostly in his bed from 7pm to 7am. No tears!

Mine went into his bed at 22 months, just before DS 2 arrived.
We made a big thing about helping daddy put the bed together etc and he absolutely loved it. For weeks he was telling everyone about his new bed!
He's 2.5 now and still loves his bed.
