My toddler has started saying "Oh God"..is that bad?

He's 2 and a half. I've noticed he's starting saying this, almost to himself (when something's gone wrong or he's frustrated).

I can't tell if its slightly shocking or not. I was a bit taken aback the first few times I heard it.

My son went through a phase of saying it, i know what you mean. Its not a horrible thing to say, but things like that sound weird coming out of a young child's mouth lol. I just started saying 'oh my goodness' every time he said it, and he started saying that instead. There are a few things that aren't necessarily horrible but i wouldn't want him to say that i've stopped saying lol

My 2.5 year old said "Oh shit" the other day. I stopped saying that pretty quickly! "Oh god" is very tame in comparison. But yeah - goodness is probably preferable!😃

I think it's fine.
My brother realised it was time to watch his language when he heard his child of a similar age mutter "for fucks sake" under his breath when a toy wouldn't work.

My 23 month old DD said 'oh bugger' the other day. Can't think where she got that from... Blush
