What sort of reward chart for disrespectful behaviour from near 6.5 year old?

My 6,5 year old is amazing blah di blah. But he's also rude and disrespectful at times. he has a certain tone that I would expect from a sneery adult.

I can't tolerate it anymore. Despite trying to tame it, I don't seem to be getting anywhere.

I could stop his TV and screen time - that's what really really hurts him. But it doesn't shift the behaviour.

What sort of a reward or 'loss' chart would work? I have no idea

We are thinking of introducing a reward char for our DS who is also six. But I don't know where to start. They sell them on Amazon but they seem quite vague. Been thinking of making one but I'm not very creative so I'm not much help sorry!

We are thinking of making our own chart and use stars somehow with Velcro attached so we can add and remove stars and too.. Once he gets to a certain amount of stars, there will be a reward. I need to get my self to hobby craft...

I quizzed my two about what they used at school and implemented a version of that (traffic lights in our case). Then it's already a system that they understand.
