Hi my DS is 2.4 years and has always been quite an intense baby. He started to settle down with fussing, sleep issues etc around age 20 months or so, and became more pleasant and enjoyable. Last week I swear he has morphed into another child! Huge tantrums such as hitting himself, head butting the door when he gets frustrated and generally so defiant. Getting him to bed takes forever and I'm literally losing the will with it all lately. I know the 'terrible two's' are a normal part of childhood but I just feel like it's one thing after another. From your experience does this 'phase' settle nearer to him turning 3yrs?! Going out is becoming so difficult and everything is a huge battle. Just some reassurance would be great. Xx

I've no advice I'm afraid but just to say my 18 month old is behaving this way too and I know how stressful it is! He's had a tummy bug although I do think he's past it now. Even this morning when he woke he called for me and I went straight in and he was all happy etc and then I went to lift him out of the cot and the no no no started and crying etc because he didn't want lifted out so I tried leaving the room and then we had screaming at the top of his voice! It's literally like he doesn't know what he wants but he's programmed to not want whatever I'm doing lol. Let's hope it's all a phase...
