Montelaust (singulair) asthma treatment links with bad behaviour

Hi everyone my son is now 4 and has been prescribed this asthma treatment since 18 months he had an asthma check yesterday and it was mentioned that it can affect behaviour Of children and this is the first time I've ever been advised of this.
My 4 year old is a very boisterous little boy and a bit of live wire but I wonder if some of this may be down to the medication he is on. I am just wonder if anyone else has any experience of this and they noticed any difference in their children x

My 4 yr old ds took this for a month - his behaviour was off the scale - hitting, spitting etc.. he became very very emotional. Luckily i identified it as the drug as he was so different. Within a week he was back to normal.

My dd is on this and I have never heard of this side effect

Ds has been on it for five years. He's a full on child but no more so than prior to taking it or different from his siblings. Definitely no spitting or anything like that.

I take it and the only problem I have is very vivid dreams if I take it at night as advised, so I now take it during the day. Other adults on it I know/treat have also complained of the dreams/disturbed sleep. Is the behaviour issues because it is affecting his sleep in which case I would advise taking it in the morning rather than before bed.

Hi op. My dd3 was put on this. I took her off after 3 weeks. She had terrible nightmares and her tantrums were horrendous. She has had quite a few hospital admissions due to asthma and I was so hoping this would really help her. But in her case the side affects were worse than the asthma she has been on a new preventive since January and date I say it appears to be under control. It's called flixotide. She also has a multivitamin to help build her up a bit
