My DD was a small baby 6.6oz, and has seen a growth specialist in the past as she’s very short for her age – project adult height of 4’11 based on DH and my heights. She had a bone scan a few years ago to measure the age of her bones and she was 9 month behind. Everything else came back normal.
She’ll be 8 soon, and still has all her baby teeth, with no sign of any of her teeth looking for fall out anytime soon. The dentist wasn’t concerned the last time we saw him, but I’m beginning to worry. If she’s nine month behind on her growth surely she’ll have some wobbly teeth my now? DD isn’t too worried as we’ve said her adult teeth will look whiter for longer, but you can tell she’s a little upset when her friends come into school excited about another tooth that has fallen out - all have lost at least 4 teeth, some all of their milk teeth have fallen out.
Anyone else have this with their child, and did it also affect when your DD start puberty?
I’m wondering if I should get referred back to the specialist again (he said we could if we were worried about anything).
Thanks.
