on the verge of depression

My little boy has just turned 4 for the past 4 months we just haven't slept... hes so naughty since being between 8 and 9 months he's been in a stricken routine of bedtime at 730pm never no messing or fighting but now he just won't sleep he does everything he possibly can to get out of bed he gets out of his safety gated room he's trashed my locked bathroom. I've also a 1 yo son who has had to go into his older sister room as my troubled 4 yo as gone to the lengths of putting a mattress on top of him and bouncing on it it's not 0042 and he's still climbing out of his room I just don't know what else to do does anyone have any advice has any one been through the same situation

Well my mum used to shut my door and kept it closed with sheet tied to the bannister

Um sure that wouldn't be seen to kindly by social services nowa days

I know it's hard as I have had the same with my son when he was little. i just kept putting him back in his room every time he came out. It took a while but he soon hot used to it. No talking. No eye contact. No food. No drink. And the first morning when he's been good praise him ott. You have to protect your other child though, can't have him used as a trampoline. Good luck!

Personally I think it's gone beyond a just keep putting him back in his room we've been doing that for just over 4 months now and getting absolutely no where the earliest he has passed out in the past 4 weeks is 5am :(

Ok well that was my best shot sorry! Joe consistent are you with it though. I mean, it takes time and A LOT of patience to do it. I remember crying myself, an if you give in once, well you're straight back to square one

As consistent as not sleeping since the beginning of April because of it Im calling our gp Monday morning to see if they can recommend anything... he does have other problems too he's no speech and currently having speech therapy

Can you do some kind of reward chart on the wall? Every night he is good he's awarded a sticker, every 5 stickers he gets a prize?
My kids work well on incentives or bribery
