Tired 22 month old after childminders. What do you do?

Ds is 22 months old and had 4 days at his childminders- 8-3.30pm. He has lovely days and naps well most days, he has a lovely bond with her and gets on well with all the other children. When we are home by 3.40 he is sooo tuckered out and just wants to cuddle. He's mostly uninterested in toys until after dinner and then he has a bit of extra energy. Thing is I usually just cuddle up in front of the telly but this is basically over an hour and I'd rather not encourage that. What do you do after days like this? Should I not worry or do you find anything else helps after a long day for your child?

Sounds blissful! Enjoy it?!!!

Wouldn't worry about it too much. DD has a bit of CBeebies at 3.30 after getting home from preschool, which knackers her out. If you're worried about the TV thing then why not cuddle up with a pile of books instead?

I'd just go with it and enjoy the cuddles.

He is very little and probably does not need any more stimulation at that time, just his mum.

He will soon grow out of that stage so go with it and enjoy before he is too busy and energetic to sit with you!

Thanks folks :-) I guess we enjoy the snuggles for now and soon he will be in full energy mode.
