When to drop the night time pull ups?

Can anyone advise on when I should stop using pull ups at night for my ds who is just turned 4.

He was very difficult to toilet train and would rather wet/soil himself than interrupt what he's doing to go to the toilet. Generally speaking he has to be made to go as he rarely asks.

He loves his pull ups at night and I have no idea if he physically still needs them; although they are wet in the mornings I suspect he could just be choosing to pee in them as he really hates to take them off in the morning and start using the toilet.

Any thoughts/suggestions would be very welcome.

the advice is always going to be mixed because everyone's experiences are different.

both mine would wee in a pull up if they had on on so removing them was the trigger to get them.to get up and go to the loo or go all night.

dd1 never had an accident either. we lifted her around half ten for a little while.

dd2 would forget she didn't have a nappy on and did have a few accidents to start with. but we just started to lift her around half ten and she's fine now.

she did have regular dry nights though befire we removed the nappy and had started to get up fir a wee so really it was just removing the nappy that was needed.

that won't be the same for all kids though.

although completely normal I did want to get her out of nappies as she was 4 and a half.

dd1 was nearly 4. I was waiting fir the signs they never came and I just felt it was getting ridiculous as she potty trained at 2 and all her friends were night nappy free.

turns out she was just being a lazy madam and using it as it was there. coukd have done it months befire. grrr

oh well
