How to help a bossy DS start school (and not be so bossy)

DS is fab but super bossy. Likes everything done his way. I try to talk to him bout it but I feel anxious as he's about to start school. Although he had friends at preschool - and he gets on great with friends kids - I think one close friend in particular got pissed off with it and chose not to go into his class at primary.

How can I help him going forward? I don't want him to end up friendless

Thanks

If his behaviour is reasonable in other areas, some children like to have a 'leader' to follow, so it may not be as much a problem as you fear. But if he does 'over do it' no doubt teacher or older children will keep him under control.

Teachers might prefer children with a bit of spirit, in preference to bland or apathetic.
