Help my DD of 1O months has a tantrum all the tjme

My DD#1 is my First and so fussy now she can crawl, When she picks anything up and I remove it after she starts to eat it she screams and throws her head back and even tries to hit me. Why is this??

Can you distract her by giving her something else? She's just frustrated and has no other way to express herself I expect!

This is completely normal.
When they start crawling you have to remove everything they cannot have/put in their mouths well out of reach and sight.

You need to provide a selection of interesting things she can find/play with/put in her mouth - toys suitable for a 10 month old, then she will be happily entertained, but you do have to watch them all the time at this age.

She's teething badly also so I feel so sorry for her now. I give her baby toys and all her favourite things but nothing seems to sooth her and she keeps flailing herself back onto me and straightening herself so stiff. She cries like I'm murdering her. The neighbours must think I'm a terrible mum. I'm doing everything I can full time work and wife so why do I feel helpless to her?

My advice would be to get out to lots of groups with babies of the same age so you can meet other mums for support and see other babies doing just the same thing! Try children's centres. The more groups you try, the more chance of finding people you hit it off with and then arranging time to meet for a cuppa at each others houses. PS don't worry what the neighbours think - babies cry!

Completely normal. She can't express herself in any other way. My 17 month old still does it! Distract distract distract (and take her out lots!)

Other mums won't judge you because your DD tantrums. They will all have been there themselves. The only thing they are likely to judge is when someone starts giving children what they want in an attempt to stop the tantrum.

Get yourself out there and find some support.

Sometimes I do feel like the only one. My DD loves to be outside too she looks everywhere. I tell my DH that it's good for her but he says she can't understand

It is good for her, babies learn by taking in their surroundings. If you take her for a walk and talk to her, telling her what you can both see she will pick up so much!

Does she also go after remotes, phones, ornaments etc as well?

I've learnt the hard way (three phones broken by DD dribble and temper tantrums, she's 14 months old!!!)

Make a little box up for her full if items which isn't toys but safe for her to play with I.e. Saucepan, wooden spoon, remote with no batteries, an old phone.. You get the idea.

Take her out and explore
We have had a teddy bears picnic in the garden the past few days, lots of flowers in the garden which she tries and picks, picking at the grass, playing with shells from the beach.

Tantrums are very normal! Least you haven't had neighbours knocking asking if everything is okay after another epic tantrum because I wouldn't let her crawl into the washing machine haha!!

I found 10months very difficult, well until my DS was walking really. They can be sooo stroppy, feel for you OP!

She's probably more crotchety because her teeth are hurting. Low grade, nagging pain is really mood sapping. Particularky when they can't even understand what is wrong

I would give her some calpol as I find that tends to improve equilibrium
