If you are short and your DH is tall - are your dds average/short/tall?

I'm just under 5 ft, Dh is over 6ft - dd is v short at the moment (aged 11yrs), just curious to see what has happened in other families!

I am 5'2", dh is 6'3"
Dd (11) is tall, but only recently, she has had a massive growth spurt in the past year/18 months, she was always quite average before then. Dd2 (9) is fairly average height.

I'm 5'3" and DH is 6'3". DD1 is somewhere around 91st to 98th centile for height. DD2 is to young to tell, but despite being much bigger at birth is probably looking to be a bit shorter, perhaps 50th to 75th centile.

I'm 5', Dh 6'3"

All were very very tall babies/toddlers

12year old - very tall - 98th centile
11 year old - Hmm 30/40th centile
9 year old - 50/60th centile

Jury is out though as my family were all slow growers - I grew until my late teens, Dh family all fast growers - females all very tall by 11 and stopped, Dh stopped at 14

We are roughly your size-
ds (16) is very tall about 6ft 3 - (he won't let me measure him and still growing.)
Ds (12) is nearly 5ft so shortish, but hopefully also still growing

I'm 5'4 and DP is 6'3.
DS is 17 and 5'11
DD is 13 and 5'5.
So I think they're both going to be in between our heights.

Dd 17 was small to average until she hit puberty then grew to 5'6

Ds 19 is 6ft

my brother is very tall 6'5''
my SIL is tiny

my niece is really tall,
my nephew tales after his mum

but they are still early teens so anything is still possible

I'm 5ft1, he's 6ft1.5
Dd1 (20) 5ft4 after spinal surgery (she grew 2in )
Dd2 (18) 5ft2
Dd3 (16) 5ft2
Ds1 (10), ds2 (8) and ds3 (5), are all a little shorter than their classmates, though dh claims he was diddy until approx age 12

I'm 5ft2, DH is 6ft5. DC are both pretty much on 50th centile. Poor DH, my genes may be short, but they are obviously strong

Dc1 - 91st centile for height
Dc2 - 98th
Dc3 - 50th
Dc4 - 60th

So two pretty talk & two very average!

I'm 5ft and dp is 6ft, our dc are: very short (9th centile), tall (75th) and average (50th), all bases covered really!

dh is 6 foot and I have two dc with him, and also another dc with my ex who is 6.4, I am five foot and a tiny bit so been wondering if my dcs will be average, would be great if they were a perfect combination of me and their dads

as I would like to be a little bit taller but not quite as tall as their dads

I am 5'1" DH is 6 foot.

DD1 is tall and willowy (age 17), she was a long skinny baby & has always been tall & slim

DD2 is short & chunky (age 12). She was a butterball baby & has stayed stocky & one of the shortest in her year.

I'm 5ft 2, DH is 6ft 2

Both DDs are 5ft 8 and in their early twenties.

I specifically married a tall man so I would hopefully have tall dc. I don't like being a shortarse

My dad is 6ft 2 and my mum was 5ft

Ds2 is short bit has some health issues contributing to this at moment.

Ds3 is tall.

Dd1 (16) has stopped growing at 5'3". Dd2 (13) is already taller at 5'4" and still growing.

My mum is 4ft 11 and dad 6ft 1 and I managed a reasonable 5ft 5.

DS is 5ft 11 and his dad was 5ft 10 - DS was always one of the smallest children in his year until he reached around Year 10 and then he had a growth spurt (he is still a beanpole though)

Meant to add my brothers are all taller than me by at least 3 inches

Dh hasn't got any siblings, his mum is about 5ft5/5ft6 so pretty average.

My mum is 5ft 3, dad 5ft 7 and brother is 5ft 9/10 I reckon - we're a short family, Dh sticks out like a sore thumb

Dd is on the 0.5 percentile but DS is on 25th at the moment. Dh reckons he grew loads late on. I just steadily grew minute amounts

Has anyone worked out then where in a family DCs get their heights from?
