Did your toddler's behaviour get worse after dropping nap? More playing up at bedtime?

My 2,4 ds has dropped his nap. He used to be easy to put to bed and wake at 6.30, Now he wakes at 5,15 and is a nightmare to put to bed. Anyone else find this? Does it improve?

Re-introduce nap?

DS is just 2 and doesn't reliably nap every day - often it's every other day. He's sooo much easier to put to bed when he HAS napped. Think they get over-tired. Is there anyway you can persuade him to nap? I find it very tricky myself!!

Yes, my 3 te old is much worse without a nap, although seems not to 'need' one every day, on no nap days he goes to bed half an hour to an hour earlier. I try to get him to nap if something exciting happening in the afternoon as otherwise he struggles.
